UPBEAT 100: a course on artistic versatility ~

Congratulations to the current UPCC Batch for a successful kickoff to their 2007-2008 Concert Series! And thank you to those who watched the show(s)! I myself watched their August 11 concert. It was a real treat for me to watch the UPBEAT concert because I was part of the batch that did the very first one. Haha!

UPBEAT 100 features the Korus as a class of freshies conceptualizing a project that shows creativity and versatility, as a requirement of their professor (played to great effect by Prof. Jai Aracama, singing Ain't No Mountain High Enough), and of course sings a whole lot of songs along the way. There were some new songs, new arrangements, noteworthy were the songs Hataw Na, which had the Korus playing percussion using everyday school things (and then some), and Tatsulok, a popular song by Bamboo. For their finale, the UPCC sang I Believe, a song popularized by Fantasia of American Idol.
