UPCC Batch 2004

UP Concert Chorus Batch 2004
UPCC’s 16th International Concert Tour

The University of the Philippines Concert Chorus 16th International Concert Tour of Germany, Italy and France from October 21 to November 16, 2004.

The highlight of this tour was UPCC's participation in the 4th Internationales Chorfestival Ruhr a cappella in Bochum, Germany, a personal invitation of Dr. Hans Jaskulsky, Director of Music of Ruhr Universität Bochum.

Dr. Jaskulsky was visibly impressed with the group's stellar performance in the 8th Forderkreis Internationale Chortage Mainhausen (2003) where the UPCC won 3 gold medals in major categories.

The Philippine Consulate in Milan, Italy, in cooperation with the UPCC's long-time coordinators Gabriele & his daughter Marta Riva, arranged special performances for the Filipino Italian communities. It was the first time for the group to perform in the economic capital of Italy, MILANO.

The French choir Ensemble Vocal Agapanthe hosted the group in Paris, France. It was the first time the UPCC performed in the City of Lights since the 1980's.

Reminisce...

  • When Alvin got left behind because his ticket was late so he took a different flight.
  • Airis greeted the German hosts "Essen! Essen!" 'coz someone told her it meant "Hello!"
  • Ryan while taking a photo said, "OK! Ein! Drei!" wrong! So he counted in English instead... "One! Choo!"
  • Remember Anlene?
  • The themed lunches and dinners by the odd and even numbered families.
  • Living for a whole week in Havixbeck.
  • Tour Manager Hani's engagement to Kenneth on the tour bus!
  • ...and so many others.
